I was an exchange student at Lundaborg’s Stud & Riding school over the summer in 2023 and had the opportunity to help the owner to train her horses in show jumping and attended in a few competitions. They breed beautiful Welsh ponies and Welsh cobs and offer riding lessons for all ages and riding levels. The instructor at Lundaborg is fantastic and really teaches proper riding technique. The students know clearly what they are working on and get constructive feedback at each lesson to ensure that they know when they have mastered a skill and can progress to another. It is a safe and positive learning environment where I saw just over the summer how people drastically improved their riding!nnThe equestrian center has two main outdoor arenas with all-weather footing, along with a huge cross country jumping area that spreads over two gigantic fields. There is also a brand new huge indoor riding area 10 min away where we went regularly to train.nnIt was great to see that the horse's care was always their top priority! They care for the horses with the greatest love and care. The horses have access to very big fields with tons of grass during the day and during the summer some of them are in their stable at night. There are horses for every level, so there's always a new challenge.nnNeat, tidy, and friendly, Lundaborg’s equestrian center is one I would recommend to anyone that is looking to live abroad and train and compete at a top quality stable. Here you get a lot of freedom, there is minimal stable work and mostly riding and training of the horses. The living conditions were fantastic, the house I stayed in was beautiful, right next to the stable with great food. They also have two adorable English cocker spaniels.
What a great place to ride a horse!nnOur daughter really wanted to ride a horse during the holiday. We found Sara’s place on the internet and contacted her. The communication was easy and we booked a ridingtrip for two.nnWhat a great experience. The horses are really sweet and stable and they listened very well. We also liked the two sweet dogs and cats.nnTwo days after our experience we went back for another ridinglesson for our daughter.nnIf we are in the neighbourhood next year we will come back for sure!nnThank you Sara for this great experience.
My daughter has been to her first overnight riding camp, and of course we chose Lundaborg and the best Sara. We have ridden a lot with Sara over the past year, both my daughter and I. Private jumping lessons, field rides and riding weekends. Sara has a very cozy farm in the country with a cute stable and large living house, where we also lived.nAt the camp you help with all the tasks that occur on a farm. Picking up horses from the pasture, filling them with water and food, mowing and keeping the stable tidy, keeping equipment in order.nWe helped each other at the meals, which were very well planned and well prepared.nThe horses are all very kind and well-behaved and all have slightly different personalities. We have ridden several of the horses, and Sara always gives tips on how to ride the horses in the best way.nSara is a thorough and educational riding instructor, who likes order and order and always looks out for the horses' best interests.nA very cozy environment for young girls to stay in. A plus is that Sara also runs a stud farm, which means you get to see newborn foals up close and cuddle them, and that there is a very nice stallion on the premises.nWe appreciate the small scale and that you really feel like you are on the farm.nHighly recommend Sara for both riding camps, private lessons and weekend camps mother/child
I have just been to a summer riding camp at Lundaborg Stud Farm and Riding School, and it was without a doubt the most fun camp I have ever been to! The horses were incredibly beautiful and kind, and the riding instructors were incredibly talented, encouraging and helpful. I felt safe the whole time, and there was such a warm and inclusive atmosphere – no one judged anyone, everyone was welcoming.nnI met friends for life, the food was super delicious and the accommodation was great. It was so good that I have already booked another riding camp for the autumn holidays! I really recommend Lundaborg to everyone I know – both for the riding and for the great community. Thank you for a wonderful camp!
My child and I were at a riding camp at Lundaborg in July 2024 and had an overall positive experience. The teaching is at a level that is safe for both horse and rider, while giving you room to develop. We were both adults and children riding and Sara was really able to adapt her teaching to the target group. One of the children was scared at one point which happens from time to time and Sara really took the time to encourage and support. It all ended very well!nnThe welfare of the horses is always in focus and Sara is keen that everyone learns to take responsibility for the whole of them and their handling. In my opinion, it is very positive that especially children and young people who usually ride at larger riding schools are allowed to participate in the whole of what handling and caring for horses entails. My child also got to - because she really wanted to - accompany Sara and feed her in the morning before breakfast.nnFor a child who usually rides at a large riding school, Lundaborg is also a perfect place to safely try something new - the pride of having jumped your first course is not lost for hoes!nnIn a world of large facilities, it is nice that there is also room for enthusiasts like Sara to run an activity where both children and adults can develop and bring back wonderful memories!
