If you absolutely must swim here, my tip is to swim from the jetty at the far end of the pier.nThe last time I swam at the beach, I sank with half my leg in one place and my slipper got stuck somewhere down there. No problem for an adult, but if a child got stuck, they would probably have a harder time pulling themselves up.
