1 start cause I could not give 0nI visited Migrationsverket on July 18, 2025, around 12:00 to verify my identity and report my lost residence permit card. I had already received a police report and was told that I could come in to have my fingerprints and photo recorded. However, there are no available time slots on the website, and I have an upcoming trip at the end of July, so I urgently needed help. So I booked a time to only verify my identity which I thought is requested for my other casennWhen I arrived, the first staff member I spoke to tried to help but couldn’t complete the process and suggested I return when I had more informationfor the identification case. I explained that I also lost my residence permit card and couldn’t book an appointment online due to no availability. He was kind enough to issue me a queue number, saying that his colleagues would help me further.nnI waited for about an hour before being called to counter 14, where I was met with a staff member who was extremely unhelpful and dismissive. She told me it was a “drop-in” and that I needed to book an appointment. I explained that it was not a standard drop-in, as my queue number didn’t say “Dropin” it was something like TcL/Tlc, and I had already waited a long time under the assumption that I would be helped, as advised by her colleague.nnDespite explaining my situation, including the urgency due to travel plans and the lack of available appointments, she showed no understanding or empathy. I was simply dismissed after waiting over an hour with no assistance. This experience was deeply frustrating and disappointing, especially for someone in a vulnerable position trying to resolve a lost permit issue.nnMigrationsverket should train their staff better in customer service and ensure consistency in how different employees handle such cases. At the very least, people should not be made to wait for over an hour only to be turned away without help.
The staff were friendly and professional.nThey explained everything clearly, answered my questions patiently, and I felt treated with respect.
The Swedish Migration Agency has shown a complete lack of empathy and professionalism throughout my entire application process. They play with people’s emotions and never seem to care about the mental stress, financial loss, and academic damage their endless delays cause.nFor months, I sent multiple emails asking for updates, but never received a single reply. Because of their slow and careless handling, I lost an entire academic year and countless opportunities. It feels like they treat people not as human beings but as case numbers, with zero understanding of how their actions affect real lives.nSweden might be a developed country, but the migration system is broken, heartless, and needs serious reform. Students and families deserve respect, transparency, and timely processing—not this endless cycle of silence and frustration.
Unfortunately i can't give a zero !! Dealing with Migrationsverket has been one of the most frustrating experiences of my life. The waiting times are beyond unreasonable—months turn into years without any clear updates or timelines. It’s like they’re completely unaware of how people's lives are hanging in the balance.nnThe level of unprofessionalism is astounding. You can contact five different officers and get five completely different answers to the same question. It seems like they don’t even know their own country’s rules or processes. How can an immigration authority be so misinformed about the very laws and procedures they’re supposed to enforce?nnCommunication is vague at best and completely absent at worst. Emails go unanswered for weeks, and when you finally get a reply, it's copy-paste responses that don’t actually address your case. The lack of accountability is shocking.nnMigrationsverket needs a complete overhaul. No one should have to suffer this kind of incompetence just to seek clarity or stability in their life.
