New store in Frolunda. Excellent pricing on almost all of the grocery items l and veggies in the store. The store was clean unlike most asian/turkish stores in GOT. Was crowded because it just opened 2 days ago.. Will revisit the review after a month..
Today I had the worst shopping experience ever, and it happened in Gothenburg!nThe cashier’s behavior was extremely rude and racist! It happened to my friend — her husband had sent the payment to the store via Swish and she showed the screenshot of the transaction to the cashier. But the cashier, in a very disrespectful manner, acted as if she was lying and told my friend not to leave the store until the manager arrived! She behaved as if she had caught a thief!nUnfortunately, when the store manager arrived , and I was already very upset by the cashier’s behaviour, I told the manager that their customer service was terrible. The manager then told my friend that she needed to prove it and show her bank account to confirm the transfer, which was extremely rude! basically implying “you’re lying, and we don’t trust you.”nMy friend’s husband is actually a scientist working for a very large company here, and since they have just moved to this city, my friend’s Swedish isn’t very good yet. But the way they treated her was unbelievably disrespectful.nI will never go back to that store again, and I truly recommend that if you respect yourself and your dignity, you stay away from that place.
I do not recommend going there at all because of the cashiers. They always choose unqualified people to work as cashiers. They do not know how to respect others and they always only greet Swedes. They are very annoying, Even the workers inside the store. I do not recommend going there at all. Because you will feel disrespected. All what you want can find in other shopes.
Decent Orient-market, more spacious than similar stores and has a good assortment
Today I bought banana, cookies, cheesesticks and cold cappuccino from Frolunda’s Lidl and kept the goods on my backpack. After that I went to Mini price, bought egg, guava and a packet of Extra chewing gum. After the payment, the cashier asked me to open my backpack I opened and then she asked for receipt of the product. I am a Lidlplus user and rely on digital receipt but my daughter pressed receipt button at Lidl so luckily I had the receipt with me. I showed it to the woman at the cash counter and she cross-checked. I didn’t react but later it came to my mind what if I threw the receipt or didn’t have any digital receipt. What if the Lidlplus app wouldn’t work. How much embarrassing would that be! I understand their concern but they should also find out some mechanism to save people from embarrassment.
