Nämforsen hällristningar

The most wonderful place to see rockart with water rushing down Nämforsen waterfalls, beatifuls views over the river and the two other rock islans containing rockart. These others are not open to the public as they are situated amidst the rushes and hard to reach by boat.nWe even took our chances to cool or feet in the icy water and sunbathe with 30°C this summer.nThe nearby visitor centre Nämforsens Hällristningsmuseum provides a very well prepared little exhibition on rockcarvings and even rockpaintings free access and the helpful and we'll informed personal gladly answer all questions as well as do free guided tours 12.00 & 14.30 in 2021

Its a beautifully place if its nice weather. Even nicer if you drive up the road another 8 km to Spegeldammen. You can have a beautiful picnic there.

Super interesting museum. Free of charge. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. There is also a small cafe. Loved the visit. The walk down to the paintings is dramatic but not for everyone and the paintings absolutely fantastic! A must see!
