Nacka Golfklubb

I mostly visit this course for the driving range, but unfortunately, it often leaves me disappointed. The course is nice, I have to saynnThe biggest recurring problem is that balls frequently run out — and you don’t realize it until after you’ve already paid. If this happens, the reception is often closed, and even if it’s open, it’s quite a long walk back.nnParking is another headache. Spaces are limited, and several times I’ve had to turn around and leave because there was nowhere to park. There’s a parking lot right next to the driving range, but instead of being used, it’s currently filled with gravel and miscellaneous storage. If they cleared it, it would solve much of the parking problem and also reduce the long walk to the range.nnOn one occasion, I arrived to find staff manually collecting balls from the range. A man told me I couldn’t hit balls until they were done — unless I wanted to work for two hours gathering balls myself, in exchange for a bucket worth 90 kr. Some people agreed to this, but to me it felt unreasonable. The range itself is short and narrow, meaning many balls end up in the woods and are never recovered, which is likely part of why there are so few balls available in the first place. Simply expanding the range could solve a lot of this — though perhaps there are municipal restrictions.nnThe facilities also feel a bit run down. Once, I planned to have lunch there afterward, but the only option was falukorv and macaroni for 140 kr — not exactly an inspiring meal for the price.nnIn short, the driving range has potential, but between frequent ball shortages, limited parking, outdated facilities, and uninspiring food, it’s hard to recommend without improvements.

A positive experience. Just outside Stockholm in the middle of a forest area is Nacka located. Starting with the range, a positive thing is that all tees have their own trackman type of device. Maybe simpler but still.. Then nice food and seating area overlooking 1st tee and practice green. The greens were actually really good. Some minor frost damage but overall better than expected. Some work ongoing on the course and 1 tee was provisional, not the best grass overall but there was if only the starting would have been moved. Classic design and most of the time well integrated to the landscape. Later in the summer this course has great potential.

Good course with many decisions and options available for average players. It's more about placement than distance.nA few holes that are poorly planned and some long walks bring it down. But really good value.
