Not quite authentic Japanese, flavours felt off.nMy husband and I had the salmon teriyaki and chicken skewers for lunch. While both dishes were okay, they were underwhelming. The salmon teriyaki didn’t taste like authentic teriyaki at all, it had a sour, salty flavour more reminiscent of a Chinese-style sauce. The dish was stir-fried with lots of bamboo shoots, which added to the fusion feel.nThe chicken skewers were better, but my husband has had much tastier ones elsewhere. Overall, the food didn’t live up to expectations and didn’t feel truly Japanes
Passable experience without any excitement. We ordered vegan gyoza dumplings, fried salmon & avocado roll and sake. The food was far from a true Japanese experience with additives like mayonnaise, sweet corn and onion all over the dish which we neither appreciated nor enjoyed. The dashi stock of the miso soup was lacking salty-sweet richness and the tofu swimming in it all around was far too soft. Not only did our waitress have no clue about sake or ingredients of the dish I ordered, she didn’t speak a word of Japanese but deserves a star for trying to smile thought this obviously unexpected questioning we gave her. It was weird to see cutlery available, it’s far better to eat your sushi using hands than cutting into it! Very average in my opinion but will do if you’re hungry and don’t expect too much which I did, reading all the positive reviews I quite make no sense of now..
There’s no wonder this place is rated so highly! I was traveling from the US and I just wanted to see how the Swedes made their sushi highly recommend exploring familiar dishes abroad. Rolls looked and tasted great, with a subtle Swedish twist, which I loved. Amazing service also free coffee yay! and the staff was so kind and helpful, esp when I was struggling with the menu. Also, the miso soup here was SO good. Strange because I don’t usually like miso soup and I’ve tried them all over Japanese and Korean restaurants across the US. Never would’ve thought my fav would be in a restaurant in Sweden! 10/10 recommend :
Really good sushi! And I've lived in Japan for a year... The Mochi Ice Cream desert was also top notch, and the miso soup... awesome! Will come back for sure. So many other things on the meny I want to try!nThanks for a delicious meal and nice atmosphere
I totally get the high reviews of this place! We ordered chicken katsu, fried chicken and jakiniku rolls takeaway. Everything was delicious and fresh. Reminded us of our last trip to Japan . Plus: the waitress was sooooo positive, nice and kind. We loved everything.
