"Ett 30-tal öar i Mälaren bildar Engsö skärgård. På huvudön Engsö finns vacker natur och ett rikt djurliv. Engsö Slott, med anor från 1100-talet, ligger centralt på ön. Tillsammans med den medeltida Engsö kyrka, bjuder slottet på många historiska och kulturella upplevelser. Slottets nuvarande utseende och inredning kom till på 1740-talet då arkitekten Carl Hårleman skapade en ståndsmässig bostad åt greve Carl Fredrik Piper. Den fjärde våningen, liksom flyglar och ekonomihus, byggdes till och parken anlades. Slottet beboddes av familjen Piper fram till 1959. Idag är slottet ett levande museum, där konst och inventarier speglar olika epoker. 2021 är bara caféet öppet pga. Covid-19."to add Ängsö Castle map to your website;
