There are good views from the hill above the city where Oscarsborg is located. I went up on a wet and windy day. It was not worth it. I recommend only to go up on a sunny day.nI was there in May and it was closed, as it opens only during summer and from June.

Great castle. It was nice to be able to walk on the tower, nice view to this interesting city Söderhamn.
Great lookout tower on a hill overlooking the town. Make a stop here if you are passing town and the weather is good. Everything is for free
It’s a nice modern historical site. The tower is quite special and especially tall considering how high up it is built on a cliff. The inside is accessible and you can enter the very top of the tower by stairs. Once you’ve reaches the top you’re greeted by a fresh wind and beautiful sightings over the large town. A recommended place with absolutely free entry.
