About
Prison Island started in 2004 in Västerås, Sweden under the name Arosfortet. Year 2014 we changed the name to Prison Island and franchise operations and expansion in Europe began.
Prison Island is now up and running in Sweden, Finland, Norway, The Netherlands, Belgium and Spain. In total we have 19 facilities in operation.

Each facility has between 20-50 rooms that we call cells. Each cell is a unique challenge, worth a certain amount of points and requires up to three people to get full score.
Visitors form teams of at least three people in each team and decide how much time they want to spend in the cells. The time will be programmed by the staff on a key, which you also use to open the doors into the cells. When the team starts to play, the score and number of attempts are recorded on the key. The entire facility is automatized and computers are controlling the sounds, lights, doors and points. When the time is up each team will receive a performance report with a summary of the visit.
