It was nice little train ride to the Roma station. There's lots of plenty of beautiful views of the countryside.nAt the very end I had a lot of the trains and other equipment that was used on the Railroad and it was nice to get to see all of it. This was a nice easy gentle ride and I would recommend anybody to come and do this train ride if you are on the island.
A grand, theatrical experience, given by suitably uniformed enthusiasts. This train line had once been in constant use moving harvested Sugar Beet, from field to factory, until superceded by HGV's. Now maintained not only as an item of history, but for local enthusiasts and usefully a tourist attraction. It ran until recently with a steam train,. but now continues with a deisel unit. The freight trucks have been replaced by period passenger carriages.nnSo we had a 14 km. ride and a lecture on history, with photo opportunities
A great old steam train ride with a history lesson on this particular line. All run by volunteers great job. Highly recommended it.
Lovely Friendly volunteers at this railway station.
