We stayed here for 4 nights, me, my husband and 2 children 11 and 12. The room was well thought out, not big but the furniture and appliances were really good and did everything we needed them to do.nThe hotel staff gave us a key card each so my children could also have some autonomy during their stay.nThe breakfast was simple but had enough variety and times suitable for us. Staff were efficient and friendly.nWe needed to arrange a late check out due to late flights and this was done easily for a small fee extra.nThe whole hotel was so clean and welcoming we really enjoyed our stay.
This is a modern hotel located in the centre of Gothenburg. The hotel offers a very good buffet breakfast and bright, contemporary rooms with up-to-date amenities. As a guest, I appreciate its central location as it is near the main train station. The modern design and facilities throughout the property are well displayed. A nice bar and friendly staff.
Absolutely unacceptable and deeply disrespectful experience. One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at.nnWe were treated as if we were a problem rather than paying guests. All we needed was a few minutes to sit in the lobby to eat our takeaway food because the table in the room is tiny and we are a family of 4 who want to spend time having dinner together .nnInstead of showing even basic hospitality, the staff immediately told us to leave. When I asked why, no one could give a clear or reasonable explanation.nTo make things worse, the security guard woman black long hair told me that “its a common rule here in Sweden if you dont know” - and told me if I wanted to speak to the manager then I need to wait until monday. If not, then asked if I wanted write the email to the manager myself.nnThere were alot of empty tables that night and noone seemed to be bothered that we were there except the staffs themselves. We understand that it is a restuarant area but this is called humanity and emphaty and we did not take a long time. All they cared was just the ‘rules’nnThat is not how a professional hotel operates. Staff are supposed to help guests and be as flexible as possible because people are on vacation —not being rude and told us that if we wanted to eat then go back to our room and eat there?nnShortly after, my key card stopped working and I had to return to reception. While I was standing there, the same security guard was gossiping in the staff room and staring at me the entire time I was there which making the situation even more uncomfortable and humiliating.nnMy family and I traveled all the way from Thailand, and we have never felt so unwelcome in a hotel. The attitude and treatment we received were cold, dismissive, and completely lacking in respect. Honestly, it felt discriminatory.nnThis is embarrassing for the Scandic brand. If this is the standard they accept, then guests should seriously reconsider staying here.nnWe will never return, and I strongly warn other travelers—especially international guests—to expect zero hospitality and zero respect at this hotel.
Very nice hotel, we got our room at a great price. Pull down bunk beds for the kids. Nice room. Good breakfast selection every morning from cereal, pastries to hot breakfast. Would recommend.
Best thing about this hotel it's the location.nRooms are small, cleaning is not one of the strengths and staff is very cold, not client friendly.nThere no ametists in the room, no free water, no nothing.nBreakfast is diverse and delicious with plenty of options
