Great point to look at this part of city.nnUnfortunately the fortress was closed.nnThere is a board about archaeological excavations on the this rock hill.nnThere are still four big automated guns in use on the hill.nnIt seems that nowadays they are building tunell under the hill.
Skansen Lejonet is a small, but fascinating historical site located just outside Gothenburg. It’s a 17th-century fortress, originally built to protect the city, and it offers incredible views of Gothenburg from the top. The area around the fortress is peaceful, with green spaces and walking paths, making it a great place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. There’s a nice sense of history here, as you can really imagine what it was like centuries ago when the fortress was in use. If you’re in Gothenburg and love history or scenic spots, Skansen Lejonet is definitely worth a visit!
Nice place to go, sunrise or sunset will be the best time. I went on sunset, you can see very beautiful town from there and sun rays makes place golden glow.
Nice place. No other people. If you happen to go to IKEA and go past it. Definitely check it out. Only took 30 minutes
