We went to this park on one of the wettest possible days. We had downpours and high winds, so this may colour my review a little. However, I will say the water park is pretty great. There are a lot of fun and interesting slides, and we didn't queue for anything. The Warter Park section is probably an 8/10. However, the rest of the park is a bit of a letdown with staff that were friendly but felt inexperienced, poor layout, and feeling poorly maintained in places for sweden. I think I wouldn't have cared about that on a warmer day, so try and make sure you time it with the weather.
Today we have had a very bad experience, unprofessional service, crowded and long waiting time you may ride 3 to 4 attractions if you are lucky snake attraction closed maintenance in the beginning of the season and short opening hours 10:00-18:00.nCheck the car parking before you decide to go and buy the tickets. Online booking not recommendednWas a very nice place before but it seems to be no longer unfortunately.nStaff needs to be more and well trained old material should be replaced and there should be a limit to reduce waiting time in lines 45 to 60 minutes too long time for the short opening time.
Very Nice place but bring YOUR OWN FOOD!n-Food stands are overcrowded and understaffed. And they take orders online even dough there is a 40 meter line. No offer of water in high heat. Waited 2 hours for food.n- no estimate on time spend waiting in line for rides
We were here for three days and paid a fortune for a small hut at First Camp, two days for the tickets at Skara. This park was insanely disappointing compared to Leksand Sommarland. You only need 1 day to explore this park! Do not buy tickets for more days!nnDue to our smallest child being 4 100cm, there wasn’t much he could do here, he’d spend most of his time watching his bigger sister 7 go on the rides and wallow that he couldn’t. She couldn’t do much either.nnThe main “street” with the lottery stands and shops is worn down, it urgently needs a repaint the whole park does actually and the food stands within the park seemed to be terrible based on some reactions and comments we heard going around, and in all sincerity by the looks of it for the price.nnThe teenage workers reflect the park perfectly with dismissive attitude and overall laziness, it looked like most of them were 15-18 y.o, uneducated about the park and careless whether you liked it or not - simply doing their time for their pennies.nnThe cotton candy girl looked awfully mad like she was about to pop if one more person would step into the line on her turn.nnThe bigger Tivoli rides were fun but I’d say the metal creaking sounds reflect the age of the park yet again, some rides were rusty, and some were really sharp to ride to the point you’d hit your knees or sides and be left with some post-ride pain. Some people might love it but I woke up with a sore right side after being abused by them. Some attractions were closed.nn+ bathrooms were maintained at some places and there were lifeguards presentnnThe waterpark slides were fun but queue time was LONG for the short opening hours and then again there was not much for the kids except the little water playground that was a bit too dangerous for a 4 year old. And we would also wonder why’d they put a waterpark ride Newton that makes you soaking wet, with all the other DRY Tivoli rides and attractions at the front of the park. People would literally run across from the waterpark in their swimwear to ride just this ride.nn- Some attractions come with additional costs which is stupid considering the park has tickets! Bad!nnThe carps and ducks in the area are very friendly and could be pet and picked up with ease, but I think you should put up some signs to show people they can’t be fed. We saw plenty of no-brainers feeding them cotton candy, normal candy and bread just for their kids to have a little giggle! Stupid!nnOn this topic - there are WAY too many carps in the water. They are an invasive species and can be environment-damaging when over-flocked, seeing so many has left us with thoughts whether or not this is legal. It is concerning. Should be reported.nnWe will not come back. Do not recommend. This is a boring place that empties your wallet. It needs a rework before it can be called great again.
Skara Sommarland exceeded all of my expectations and truly turned my summer into an unforgettable adventure! From start to finish, this amusement park delivered on every front and provided a perfect blend of excitement, relaxation, and family fun.
