Skillinge Hamnkrog av Två Traktörer

A nice seafood restaurant in the harbour of Skillinge. They serve the same food all over the restaurant. I really like the view over the harbour and light in the room with all the big windows. Classic seafood, we were all satisfied with what we had. The price is pretty good for what you get. I did miss service with a smile, except that it was nice. And the chefs were all saying Hi to me;

We had to make an emergency stop at Skillinge Marina – the gearbox broke down, and one night we were towed in by the rescue service. As you can imagine, it was quite an emotional experience. And so, against the backdrop of this whole situation, when everything was closed for the first two days Monday and Tuesday, a restaurant opened right in the marina on Wednesday. Skillinge Hamnkrog av Två Traktörer.nnI had lunch there two days in a row, and it was really cool.nnThe first day, I had a Swedish meat dish called Wallenbergare. It was recommended to me as a local classic. Soft meatballs with mashed potatoes, lingonberries, green peas and butter. Balanced, filling, delicious. Not wow, but really good and pleasant.nnOn the second day, I had fish gratin from the lunch menu, and it was simply delightful. It had fish with prawns, white wine sauce, Parmesan, a little fennel and carrots - all on a bed of mashed potatoes. It was one of those moments when food unexpectedly makes your day. Everything was delicate, balanced and just perfect. I would have loved to ask for the recipe, honestly.nnLunch is served with homemade bread, butter, water, and coffee. It may seem like a small thing, but it's nice. And all this for a very reasonable price.nnSchedule advice:n- Monday and Tuesday - don't bother, everything is closed.n- Wednesday and Thursday - lunch only, from 12:00 to 15:00.n- Friday and Saturday - you can come in the evening, until 22:00.n- Sunday - until 19:30.nnIf you are anywhere nearby, I highly recommend stopping by for lunch at least. Especially for the fish.

We chose this restaurant to dine for the last evening of our vacation.nnIt was absolutely the right choice. I have not eaten anything better in my entire vacation in Sweden.nnThe best fish restaurant of them all!nThis restaurant is an absolute recommendation! Thank you for this meal.nnWorth EVERY penny.

Pleasently surprised by very good food!! It's evident that Skillinge Hamnkrog could do with one or two more people in the lunch service as the place was rammed when we got there. Maybe especially on sundays as most other restaurants in the Österlen area are closed on this day. Another tip from someone also working in service would be to hold two separate queues - one for reservations and one for drop-in. As if you have prebooked, you expect to be greeted and seated more or less as soon as you arrive. It is also a much faster process for the waiter as the table is already set and prepared. But if you just decide to drop in, you can understand having to wait for 10-15 minutes if it's busy in favor of people that have a reservation. Nevertheless - food was very, very good all around the table and it's nice that they allow dogs.
