Thankyou to our helpful and informative guide who kindly gave us a Swedish and English tour of the castle. Interesting and impressive with some beautiful rooms and artifacts. The unfinished hall with its tools still in situ was a bit of the show stopper... Id really recommend the guided tour to understand better what you're looking at and it's significance although there is good English information panels in every room and some individual room guidebooks too. The highlight: the Armoury man cave!
Very interesting walk through history with a lot of well preserved items. Worth going with the guided tour that gives access to more areas and a lot of additional information that brings it to life.
Stunning place, completely worth a detour from main roads. The castle is a real old castle, not just a building. The surrounding park is a few centuries old, so you can walk around and absorb the history.nTwo caffes are a nice addition to the walk. Just check their schedule in advance.
A visit full of history! It was worth to explore, what a great exhibition inside and knowledgable staff. Minus one star for the cafe inside the main building selling cirkle-k level of fika for premium price and boring museum shop selling fluffy toys from the nearest ica what does it have to do with this castle?
Reached the place by boat tour from Uppsala. There are so many things to see, impressive collection. Could easily spend 4 hours inside. Some parts can only be visited if you joined guided tours for additional 50kr/person but it's so worth it. The view around the castle is also so pretty!
