Metal with electronic influences
Slingshot (ex LazerGirls) is a Swedish electronic pop / rock / metal project formed in 2010 by Anders Wier, Karin Wier and Rickard Cederqvist.
During 2013-2014 a private recording studio was built, and in March 2015 their first single "Gravity"was released.
The music is written primarily by Anders Wier whose main instrument is drums and programming. Along with Rickard Cederqvist's guitar playing, the result is some form of electronic rock.
The idea behind Slingshot is to be more of an evolving process, than a fixed band with a fixed style of music. " We have different influences, and there is no reason to limit our songwriting into some narrow genre, we solve it by mixing all those styles"
