Beautiful site. Worth the visit. Recommend visiting the Vessa ship and take a moment to enjoy a FIKA - danish wand coffee at a cafe. Worth the walk - I used public subway and walked. No reason to drive or taxi - just uber from airport to hotel. Aloha
A magnificent area to walk & explore. From the Katarinahissen to Stadsmuseet i Stockholm, down to the walk through of Slussbron into the amazing island of Gamla stan, this entire area of Stockholm is a MUST visit!
During our trip to Stockholm, we visited Slussen, and it was one of the highlights of our stay. The area is both lively and scenic, especially with its perfect location between Gamla Stan and Södermalm. From here, you can enjoy stunning views of the waterfront and the old town, particularly beautiful at sunset. Although it’s a busy transportation hub, we still found calm spots to relax and take photos. Slussen is definitely worth a stop if you want to experience the true mix of modern and historic Stockholm.
Slussen Ferry: excellent, unexpectedly amazing experience. Cheap ferry rides with stunning Stockholm views, connects to major attractions like Djurgården museums Salterton Arts Review.
