Waiting time was a little long but ok for a private hospital and once I got to the doctor they were kind and helpful.
They never receive a call
Autumn is the most beautiful season
Unfortunately, I have experienced palliative care from both its worst and best sides, and I must say that Sollentuna Hospital is truly one of the best. The care in geriatrics and palliative care here is, in my experience, among the best in Stockholm.nnThe staff took care of my father with great care, warmth and respect. Everyone – even the night staff – was happy, accommodating and very professional. The rooms were very fresh, almost like hotel rooms, with cable TV and a calm and safe atmosphere. You should also not forget the fantastic view over Edesviken – it did a lot for the feeling of peace.nnA particularly nice detail was the cleaning lady from the former Yugoslavia – she walked around and cleaned with joy, chatted with the patients and spread a warm atmosphere. When you came to visit, there was always a nice coffee table with homemade coffee, buns and sweets. The staff always asked if you needed anything, and the doctors took the time to explain and answer all your questions.nnUnfortunately, our mother never got the chance to experience this wonderful care. We tried to have her transferred from Jakobsberg Hospital Palliative to Sollentuna Palliative, but unfortunately we were met with a doctor who did not want to cooperate, which made everything much more difficult. It is a sadness in itself.nnThe food at Sollentuna Hospital was also beyond expectations – as a former chef, I was really impressed by the quality and how well it was prepared. On weekends, patients could even get a glass of wine or beer with their meal and dessert, which gave a sense of dignity and quality of life.nnOverall – fantastic staff, good food and care that really makes a difference. It is almost a shame that you cannot give 10 stars. A big thank you to all of you for what you did for my father and for the wonderful care he received
Came to Sollentuna hospital 5 days after heart surgery from Karolinska hospital, for rehabilitation. It was ok with day staff and evening staff and got help when I needed. When my first night comes, it was a nightmare. Because I was so weak and needed help for toilet visits and getting water at night. The attitude of the night staff was that I should manage on my own. The answer was that you can go to the kitchen and get juice or water whenever you want. Why do I ask for help, yes because my body couldn't handle it after major heart surgery, didn't have the strength. Ask them for help to sit at the edge of the bed and then I should go to the toilet myself, that was not help you got. I got consistently sour unfriendly answers for four nights. Had the feeling that I shouldn't bother the night staff and not ask for help. Felt unsafe every night. Thank God that after a few days I was allowed to go home. Hope the management will do something about such night staff.nPure nightmare!!
