Absolutely beautiful place! This nature reserve is definitely worth a visit. I haven't seen much photos of this place before visiting, so when I came there I was quite surprised in a good way and amazed how beautiful this reserve is. The orange rocks are spectacular but can be slippery and dangerous to walk on, so be careful, together with sea waves they create a really beautiful scenery.
Beautiful area with stunning views. The marking of the hiking paths is a bit of a mess so get ready to get lost between the stones. But the lighthouse and the exit are easy to find as orientation works quite well in this flat area. Some jumps and steps are a bit difficult, so be careful not sure if I would go there if it is wet, must be very slippery.
Really special and beautiful place. Big round rocks, great swimming opportunity, beautiful view of classic swedish archipelago. Kids will have fun running around, it's fairly safe and all ages will be struck by awe.
Very nice part of Swedens West coast and the city of Lysekil. In the summer there is not much that beats the west coast of Sweden and it's stunning views
We stayed nearby this area for a couple of days and really felt like walking that day. We parked on Drottninggatan close to the harbourfront.nnFrom there we entered the Reserve from the North near the Marina. As soon as you go around the corner from the Marina you'll be quite surprised. You wouldn't expect such an impressive Reserve so close to a town. It's really just around the corner but feels like another world.nnThe views are amazing and the rocks and rock formations impressive. We brought our dog with an English Bulldog. She did amazingly well. Just at the very beginning on the Northern Entrance a few steps leading up were too big and steep, so we carried her quick.nnLater on there's an easy trail leading back to town. Or you can follow a tougher route sometimes no route at all leading towards the famous Fyrhuset. We had fun exploring the area as did our dog. Nice views and nature and it was just fun climbing around here. Sometimes taking a break - sitting on some rocks - to take in the amazing landscape.nnIf you only need to park up to 4 hours, then there's a free parking lot just south of the Gullmarsgymnasiet.nnIf you are around this area - even an hour or two away - be sure not to miss out on this terrific Nature Reserve.
