It’s a nice place, but it would be better if they added a toilet in the parking lot. The ferry is getting old, but the friendly staff, who always greet you with a smile, make up for it. In the end, that’s what really matters. The food is good as well.
Bicycles board first, which we really appreciate! But better signage needed in Halmstad from the central station to the ferry port. We saw other cars that couldn’t find it.
Booked a trip to Dk but had my pass expired since only 2 weeks while all others in the family were ok. Zero flexibility. Had to drive around and lost the price of the ticket + 5 hours drive.
31st of July 2025 > ferry towards GrenaannHorrible servicenThey don’t respect the schedule written on the site, the ferry left before 8 am.nnI bought my ticket on the spot the evening before from their employee. She told me to not worry if I don’t receive any confirmation or ticket by mail because they’ll find me by email, they’ll find me by my passport.nnSo today I arrived at 7:45 to see the gate was closed and the ship was leaving before 8am.nnWhen I’ve explain the situation they didn’t believe me that I’ve bought the ticket even though I told them that I have the bank statement and I can prove that I’ve paid on their POS at 19:02 on the 30/07/25.nWhen I asked to exchange the ticket for the next day or reimbursement they’ve refused.nnThey have a horrible attitude when they don’t do the right thing by their customers.
Overall, the ferry fulfills its function excellently, and all services operate flawlessly. Everything necessary is available—parking, toilets, showers, prison cells, a restaurant, and a shop.nHowever, Stena Line can also make you feel like you’re on a “Gulag prisoner” ride: the food is meager, apparently out of concern for your figure—so you don’t get fat. The prison-cell-like cabins are cold, and the power outlets have no electricity perhaps they’ve run out.nAnd when you leave the Stena Line ferry, you feel an indescribable sense of freedom and joy that it ended so soon.nBut after a while, you have to cross back the other way—and begin a new sentence, which is a rather depressing thought.
