Disappointing and loveless.nThe carvings are not traced with paint and cannot be seen immediately. And they are no longer protected.nThe journey of several hundred meters to the second, higher stone slab is not worth it.nnExpressed positively:nYou have the opportunity to traipse through thousands of years of art and feel like an archaeologist identifying the figures.nThe place actually has a lot more potential.
The Rock of Axes. Axes, ships and sun wheels are shown here. They are clearly visible and impressive. The petroglyphs date from the Bronze Age.
Not worth the walk. Incredibly few and indistinct carvings.
Horsahallen's petroglyph area mainly consists of three petroglyph areas; Jungfrukullen in the north, Axes' Häll by the sea and Stenkilsningen in the southwest. They are located at Simrislund on both sides of the coastal road between Simrishamn and Brantevik. The ancient remains date to the Bronze Age.
Disgust is too much to say. But there was nothing that appealed to me.
