An old swimming pool in Gårdskär. There have been many swimming pool signs taken there. Unfortunately, the piers have been removed and the plastic has grown together. Warning! If the water has become warm wonderfully nice, don't swim. There are probably water fleas in it. Then you will have a painful itchy and scary sore.nBut a wonderfully beautiful place.
Good place to grill. Long shallow swimming without piers.nWhen there is ice it is nice to walk out to the island.nLots of swans in the bay.nIt is not unusual to see at least one Golden Eagle.nThey have put in piers now during the summer.
Small, quiet beach with both sandy and grassy areas. Both sunny and shady places for blankets/towels. Space for about 10-12 cars, approximately. Changing cabin and toilet available.
This was a completely new place for me. A nice place to land for a while to enjoy the views with a coffee.
