Oldest church in Dalarna with some pretty amazing old Christian art inside. Open for visitors 9-15 Wednesday to Friday.
Absolutely worth seeing, old frescoes
The first version of the church was probably built in the 13th century. One does not know the original appearance. In the 15th century, a brick vault was built, which replaced the old wooden roof. In the 16th century, the vaults were decorated with lime paintings. If you want to know more go to their website.
A brick church from the outside! We came here specifically because it was supposed to be special on the inside. Unfortunately, the opening times are not correct at all. Went here on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., everything was closed, even though it was supposed to be open until 3 p.m. What a shame!!
A must to enter the church and see all the paintings.
