It is a very nice environment and the people are friendly. The snow is wonderful and there are a lot of lifts to get you everywhere on the mountain.nnBook activities and lessons on beforehand, we got stuck with no ski school for the kids because they changed the starting date to Sunday instead of normally Monday. We eventually paid for private lessons.nnThe communication on the app and website should be better, it feels a bit pushed to use an app that is not working properly. Sometimes you get info in Swedish and booking did not even work in English.

This was our second time skiing in Stoten. The first time was during Christmas in 2022. We me and wife were new to skiing, like our kids 5 and 7 now and to learn skiing we thought: why go to the Alps if you can’t ski? And for the second time in a row: we have enjoyed it! There is lots of snow, great facilities, very nice people and the slopes are simply perfect for beginners

Very good skiing destination. I was there at New Years and it was great. There was plenty of snow, and the slopes were fresh every morning. There’s both something for the experienced skier and the beginner. There’s lot of pretty long green slopes. There’s also some pretty steep and challenging black slopes. You can purchase lunch at the centrum. You can also get some hot chocolate and a cake if you please. It’s a great place to go for 3-4 days. Anything more and I think you are going to need a bigger area.

Nice skiarea for alpine skiing.nBut the best slope often does not open until february, due lack of snow.nCross country skiing rather boaring, and the area for cross country is small.nLongest track only 7 km, on low ground along the river.nStöten prioritize polluting and noisy private snowmobiles over cross country skiing.nThere is an unique mountain crosscountry skiing possibility on the high grounds of the national park, but also here snowmobiles ruin the area and environment.nSnowmobiles are prioritized over making crosscountry skiing tracks in the national park, so those tracks are only made every second year at the best.nCan not recommend this ski resort, also because management is not cooperative to suggestions for better service for cross country skiers.nManagement should get some renewal. Acting very totalitarian.nStaff at the slopes are very friendly.
