The Kosterbåterna ferries are the fastest unless you're a multimillionaire and can afford a water taxi and cheapest way to travel to the Koster Islands. The ferries depart up to 10 times a day, depending on the season. The cost for an adult is around 14 euros for a round trip. The catamaran ferries are very fast and beautifully furnished inside. In bad weather, large panoramic windows offer a great view of the passing scenery. In good weather, you can sit upstairs on the open deck. During peak season, it's difficult to get your preferred spot, as the boats are very crowded. The stated price applies regardless of which pier you choose on Koster. There's also a small kiosk on board with coffee and tea, as well as soft drinks, beer, and sweets. If you're lucky and keep your eyes peeled, you might even spot a seal.
