In 2013, inspired by Sweden’s beautiful west coast archipelago way of life, Paul Williams, an Australian living out in the Gothenburg Skärgård, decided to create a world class beer as tribute to Styrsö. With a history of beer tradition from Australia the target was to capture the saltiness of the unique island environment and create a brewery on Styrsö. Due to bureaucratic difficulties this hasn't yet happened. So the special flavor of Styrsöl was to be brewed elsewhere. Covering many countries and even more breweries, Paul eventually found the right flavors and quality in a small brewery in Poland, where he has created Styrsöl Premium Lager - a balanced, full flavored lager, as a tribute to Swedish coastal life and everything that makes it special!
