After visiting the castle, I wanted to have something small to eat. Luckily, there is this great cafe not far from the castle ruins. I tried the cheesecake and raspberry soda. The soda is commercial, I won't rate it here, but the cheesecake was a great load of berries on a super homemade cake body! Definitely 5/5, which is underlined by a good atmosphere and nice service. Cost of this set was 90 SEK, which is ok price.
Absolutely loved this little gem. Magically homey with big comfy velvet couches and a fire in the fireplace. Next was the cakes! They were truly traditional, right down to the jordgubbe sauce that wasn't over powered with sugar, but instead was slightly sour with the addition of red currents. There are too few places that prepare actual, traditional recipes and don't drown everything in refined sugars, pre made doughs and box custards. So for all the knobs saying it was tasteless, shame on you, not everyone wants sugar loaded prefab food.nThank you for being original! And we'll be back!
Lovely cafe, with fresh home made food options until 16h. The ambient inside is historic, and charming. Outside is tranquil. Everything was incredibly tasty. Walked to the ruins after…nnI greatly recommend this cafe for a stop. We will be back.
Real authentic Swedish feeling, service, and atmosphere. I'm English, but have gotten to know Sweden fairly well after 10 years. Places like this are the real thing and will give you a countryside lunch/fika experience that you'll not forget, for its quant buildings, kind and sweet staff, and delicious cakes.
This place worth a visit or two.nVery nice coffee with great cakes.
