SIGHT is an institute under the auspices of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, an independent, non-governmental organisation whose overall objective is to promote the sciences and strengthen their influence in society.
Swedish Institute for Global Health Transformation (SIGHT) is an institute under the auspices of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, an independent, non-governmental organisation whose overall objective is to promote the sciences and strengthen their influence in society.
SIGHT’s vision is to improve health and wellbeing globally for all with a particular focus on vulnerable groups, including women and children.
SIGHT’s purpose is to promote an interdisciplinary approach, to strengthen and bridge Swedish research and education, and to provide a scientific basis for national and transnational collaborative policy work, in the field of global health.
The objectives of SIGHT is to
1) Strengthen the Swedish resource base in global health for global health.
2) Provide a network-platform for interdisciplinary global health research and education.
3) Ensure that health is taken into account in all SDGs and implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
4) Facilitate knowledge translation between academia, policy-makers and the public.
