The open zoo in Gothenburg is an absolute delight, especially on a sunny summer day! I had such a wonderful time exploring and seeing all the animals. I couldn’t believe it was all for free. The seals and penguins were my favorites—they’re so adorable and fun to watch. The elk and other animals were also fascinating and added to the diverse experience. The zoo is the perfect spot for a relaxing and enjoyable day out, whether you’re with family, friends, or just on your own. Nice place either for the zoo, or just the surrounding I saw some squirrels and deers in the forest area. It’s a hidden gem in the city, and I highly recommend visiting!nnTips: visit during seal and penguin feeding time. Definitely worth!

A free children’s zoo with a selection of animals. They also do free information sessions and feeding times! Bonus that it’s all free to see and experience!
Great little petting zoo for kids, my toddler loved it. All the animals in the petting zoo are Swedish heritage breeds.nnThere are also some animals in larger enclosures up the hill from here, not for petting. Pony rides are not available Monday and Tuesday.nnThe park itself was very scenic, had good access to food, ramps for strollers and seating. Keep in mind there are some hills to reach the animals if you have mobility issues.
