Please, read the following instructions to have a successful experience.
* What is it?
This is a public service that offers you a room to express things that for some reason you couldn’t say at some point of your life and they are a heavy weight for you. This room is a non judgmental and safe space: nobody can listen or see you.
You can for example:
- Express feelings like love, hate, fears, gratitude to someone or a group.
- Express a complaint against your boss, institutions, family, friends, politicians...
- Develop your point of view of a non-resold conflict, a trend topic or an old recurrent discussion.
- Express your real opinion about someone or something.
- Express your own or other person's secret.
- Express wishes.
- Express guilt.
- Accuse someone for something that happened in your life. Whether is true or not.
- Apologize.
The service is not restricted to this time and space. You can express yourself about something from another century or to some person that passed away.
* How do I use the room?
- This is an individual experience.
- Come in to the room. Feel comfortable.
- Make sure to close the door and that the sign 'Do not disturb' is visible on the door.
- Think about the person, people or situation you want to bring up. Connect with yourself.
To help you release your feelings, comments, complains, desires or wishes, the room include these tools: phone with no connection. Paper, pen and shredding machine. Use them if needed. It is not mandatory.
- Express yourself with the language and tone you feel is apropriate and better for you and the situation.
- Verbalize. Say what do you need.
- Relax. Your conversation is safe. Nobody can listen to you.
- Write down the things you want to express.
- Destroy the paper using the shredding machine.
- Relax. Your text is safe. Nobody can read your words.
- Feel free to stay as much as you want and express as many things as you want.
- When done, leave the door open and put the door sign to the 'Welcome' side.
