Originally built in the late 19th century, the church got a rebirth after a devastating fire in the late 20th century. Today, the church is divided into two parts. The western part of the church is now an open air chapel while the eastern part has been renovated so that it contains a smaller church.nnThe villagers of this tiny village, 800 people, have formed a voluntary fire brigade to make sure they won't have to wait for a long time for help to arrive from the nearest town.
Worth a visit if you are interested in churches and architecture.
7 Sept 2024 Large beautiful church that was completed in 1895, then one of Sweden's largest rural churches. After the devastating fire in 1998, the church was reconsecrated in 2001. Now the old church room has been converted into a smaller church room and a beautiful, bright courtyard. A beautiful church that you should visit.
Trönö church burned down a few years ago. Instead of demolishing or restoring, they came up with their own exciting solution. The reliquary kept in the church is from the 13th century. Large parking lot right next door.
The Söderblomsplay with the village's son Erik Ehn who excels in the lead role. The only minus is the makeshift stand, which not only old people risk tripping and falling on.
