A terrible experience on the TTLINE Polish ferry Nils Dacke. Lunch of the day price 15 euros from warm basins without drinks - no tea or coffee. You have to pay extra for drinks, salads and desserts!!! And the food is not tasty. Vegetables are overcooked, chicken thigh is dry. Nowhere does it say that lunch of the day is included. There is no internet in the cabin. The sanitizer is empty at the reception. There is nothing to disinfect your hands with. The store is expensive, so there are no customers. The terminal is poorly specified. Signs only up to Terminal 14. 18 was hard to find. The ferry left for sea late. I don't recommend this ferry.
We travelled from Trelleborg to Rostock n the MS Nils Dacke. We got there well before the departure time and there were huge lines of vehicles parked. the port is huge and like a maze and it takes atleast a 10 min drive from the time you get your passes from the machine to the actual line to board the ferry. We were parked in the line for more thna an hour with trucks and trucks coming out of the ferry. The ferry was old, the cars were asked to parked mixed in with huge trailer trucks. it was a very very tight squeeze. We were asked to park our car on a slanted ramp wiith 2 tiny wooden blocks to stop the car from going backwards on the slope. There was no elevator from this level to get to the deck 7 where our room was, and we had to carry everything up through the stairs. We also saw many old people struggling to climb the stairs. The ferry was noisy and really old. Our room was also quite dated. It also had no TV. For the amount we paid €338 we deserved and expected better. In comparison we have experienced much better experience on Finnish Ferries and also Unity Line. Not recommended.
I drove up in a truck and bought a ticket 5 hours before the ferry departed. 45 minutes before departure I passed the gate, which opened. 30 minutes before departure I stood in the last line and watched as other cars that arrived later than me were let in. Then I was told that the ferry I was given a ticket for was full and I needed to go back to the office. The office told me I needed to arrive an hour before to board the ferry. But in the morning the office only opens an hour before to buy a ticket. Are you kidding? How can I work with you? The photo shows the travel time and I have the full video.
The ship trip perfect on time ! What surprised me there, is sauna with showers for all. Free fast internet.nIt was a smooth ride. Definitely enjoible
We had a hard time finding the right terminal but once you got it its fine. More signs for cyclists nearby would be great to direct them to the terminal
