The turning torso is a wonderful building to view for any fan of architecture. I viewed this building alongside a New York native I had met on the train from Copenhagen to Malmo.nnWe remarked on the vision behind the building and the similarities between this and that of the current projects being undertaken within his home city.nnThe tower overlooks the Oresund and their are fabulous vistas of the bridge crossing the strait between the two nations.
Wonderland area to walk around and enjoy Baltic sea views. Lots of cafes and restaurants in the area to enjoy good food. Light house views were nice. Nice spots to take dip and swim in cold Baltic sea.
The Turning Torso is one of the most iconic and unique buildings I’ve ever seen — a true architectural wonder that instantly catches your eye from anywhere in Malmö. Designed by the legendary architect Santiago Calatrava, it's not just a skyscraper, it's a piece of art twisting 90 degrees from base to top!nnAt 190 meters 623 feet, it's the tallest building in Scandinavia, and the first twisting skyscraper in the world. Inspired by a human torso in motion, the building consists of nine cubes stacked on top of each other, each slightly rotated to create that incredible spiraling effect. It’s as if the building itself is alive and stretching into the sky.nnWhile it’s a residential and office building and not generally open for public tours, just seeing it up close is a powerful experience. The way it reflects sunlight, stands against the sea breeze, and dominates the horizon is genuinely unforgettable.nnIf you’re in Malmö, make sure to walk around the Västra Hamnen area where it stands — it’s a modern, beautifully developed waterfront with great views of the Øresund and the Øresund Bridge. Perfect for photos and architectural appreciation.nnA must-see for architecture lovers and anyone fascinated by bold, futuristic design!
Great Building with really impressive architecture.nI went there at night and was imoressed by the height and the really fascinating view close to the promenade where you can have a nice walk around and watch whats going on in Kopenhagen.
The Turning Torso is Malmö’s iconic landmark and the city’s only skyscraper, visible from almost every corner. Its unique twisted design makes it a masterpiece of modern architecture and a symbol of Malmö’s innovative spirit.
