This castle is very old, from the beginning, in 12th century, only an administrative and prison building. Early on the Swedish kings established here. As the north hills of Västerås were found to be very mineral rich, it became the shipping harbour of ore, and the castle expanded to a squared castle like building. But to be honest, not very interesting.
Pretty site..feel calm and refreshing..best for walking around
Old and well preserved.
I was here with my company for a Christmas Dinner. The food was okay, but the place it self was not anything special. Maybe it was because of the way they had the tables setup for the buffet.
Such a nice place. Architecture is beautiful and you should taste the food of the restaurant as well. Really nice experience eating there! Pretty good prices!
