If you have sometimes want to little outside from Stockholm you can visit this place to enjoy the nature and blue water together. The place is quite but still gourgious for spending time alone or in a group. The bus trip from the city is not super complex rather enjoyable if you sit at the upper deck.
Ferry is expensive and delayed. Vaxholm is overrated, totally not worth it to spend a day trip here.

Great ferry, for free and goes every 15 minutes. Perfect to reach the beautiful neighbouring island!
There is an error in the passenger ship connections to this site. The passenger ships DO NOT go to and from Vaxholms Färjeläge. They go from the Vaxholm passenger ship site in front of Waxholms Hotell. This includes lines to Stockholm, Södra Grinda etc. Vaxholms Färjeläge services ONLY the car ferry to Rindö, nothing else.nPLEASE FIX the dotted lines on the water of the map !!!
