I did not know about Vessel before this visit using an American Express dinner-for-two promotion. We were not treated as ‘second class’ guests because we did not actually pay for the dinner ourselves and we’ll certainly come back to Vessel on a future occasion.nThe staff was friendly and our waitress was attentive without overbearing.nMy scallop starter was good but it sounded better on paper than in reality as there were simply too many tastes to balance against each other when the scallop itself should speak for itself. Note however that only a single scallop was served and I would not have minded if a larger portion were offered, perhaps with an option to pay a supplement for that.nThe main course, the onglet, was, on the other hand, sensational. The dish was kept simple. The meat was cooked to a perfect medium rare and was the most tender that I ever had for this cut. The portion was this time extremely generous and you would not leave hungry.nMy companion had the beef tartare, mountain trout and the apple pie with wine pairing for each and gave top marks for that.nAlthough we did not pay this time because of the promotion, the menu prices were very reasonable indeed and Vessel was simply unpretentious and offered very good value for the money.
Service - very friendly, professionell, relaxed and welcomingnFood - liked it a lot, nice burger, good fries,nAtmosphere - full restaurant on a Wednesday.
Hotel restaurant with high quality cooking overall. Great coffee as well.
The food was very disappointing and definitely overpriced for what it was the dessert was almost a joke. The service was friendly though and it's nice they allow dogs inside.
Wonderful place, very nice atmosphere and fantastic food! I really like meat tartare and this one was one of my favorite
