The terminal to check in for our cruise was clean, organized, and all wheelchair accessible. Our group of 11 arrived via bus and the walk from the bus stop was about 7 minutes. The lobby offers vending machines for snacks and bottled beverages.nThe checkin process was easy and quick. We were not required to scan our baggage in the luggage scanners. Passport check in was easy and we followed signs to boardnSignage is readable and most signs are in Swedish, Finnish and English.nBe aware that
Viking Line Gabriella is an older ferry, not such a fancy one, but also has all the restaurants and tax free shops as usual. Choose the room/deck carefully - the one from the photo is deck 5, cost around 120 for two people on the trip Stockholm-Helsinki, in August 2025. Make sure to buy tickets in advance, the price could vary
We had trouble getting to the terminal due to extensive roadworks on that street. The bus stops are now in disarray, and Google Maps information isn't entirely reliable.
since the ship doesn’t have a maps page ill review it here. for my first ever cruise it wasn’t great.nnboarding took forever because they couldn’t clean all the rooms in time so that left a bunch of us stuck waiting for them to let us in the corridors. the room was also cramped, and the bathroom was not great either. it was lacking overall.nndinner made me realize i do not like cold prawns. i am uncertain as to why they would deceive us this way without disclosing the temperature.nnthere was also just not a lot of stuff for me to do. “just use the internet then” it’s so SOOOO unusably slow.nnthe two stars are for the ship’s luxury factor which was more than i was expecting and buffet breakfast. it was enjoyable but even then we had to eat early and while fatigued still because of how soon we would arrive in turku.nnin short, i saw it as more of a transport than a cruise experience. would not do again :
Great facilities for storing bags prior to your trip. Lockers are big and fit both our 75lt hiking backpacks, as well as two small everyday backpacks and water bottles. One locker cost 70kr. Toilets are clean, plentiful, free and there is also space to sit and wait with vending machines for food and coffee.
