Vitabergsparken is a hilly park in the eastern part of the Södermalm district, Stockholm. The area is located between Renstiernas gata, Skånegatan, Barnängsgatan and Malmgårdsvägen. The park has two peaks, on the northwest is Sofia Church, on the southeast a music pavilion. Large parts of the area have been a cultural reserve since 1956. Vita bergen received its current name in 1967, before that the name was Hvita Berget which was established at the name revision in 1885. In popular parlance the area is also called Vitabergsparken or Vitan.
Wonderful views, beautiful area close to old tiny red Swedish houses. The park hosts beautiful Sofia church too.
Famous church. Beautiful inside and out. Excellent acoustics inside
Really nice park especially sunny days. There is a classic church nearby and nice classic neighbourhood. Many people bring food and drinks for picknick which is a great recomendation. Enjoy the sun and enviroment during good weather!
A small oasis in the middle of the big city, where different levels of theater are usually offered free of charge, but the view, the conviviality and the leafy existence easily outweigh when the artistic expressions are absent.nThere are cafes and kiosks nearby that sell coffee and coffee at reasonably humane prices.nBut bring a blanket or a folding chair along with some bread, brie and a bottle of red and the evening is a 10 pointer!nnVisit recommended...
