Always happy to come here. I have had nothing but great experiences so far.nThe rooms are totally fine, and the bathroom, while small, is arranged in a way that doesn't make things awkward to use for me as a very tall person. Free toiletries make short trips much more bearable.nThe service has been very nice as well.nThe location, while quite some distance away from the city center, is basically next to a commuter rail stop that will take you to that center pretty quickly.
Be prepared when visiting the spa that if you take a morning package the water may be cold, the temperature does not correspond to what is stated on the website, and also every other time something works, then it does not work, so you can end up paying, but it turns out that the pool or jacuzzi is under repair, and the belief is that you will not be compensated for anything
I stayed at welcome hotel, the room was too small, the man who served the food was ill mannered. So poor in servicenI forgot my travel charger a good one in room, called the reception directly after they said they will check and ring back. Which they never did. I called again next day and they said same then again no response. So i called third and last time they said we will check with room service but never came back with answer. So if you forget something in this hotel will not get back. Because there is no culture of returning lost and find items. Had bad experience in this hotel. However Barkerby area is nice itself.
Whilst Barkaby is a bit far out from Stockholm city centre, it has a great connection on the commuter train which runs every ~15 mins during the day. Meaning that it's only 20 minutes to get into town.nnThe rooms were quite small, which is pretty standard in Stockholm, and there isn't any air conditioning. Another standard for the city but we did miss a standalone fan in the 24°C we had whilst we were there. Also, certain parts of our room specifically some shelving had clearly not had a rag run over it in some time. So we just didn't use those sections.nnOut of the two hotels I've stayed in around Stockholm this wasn't my favourite, but it's cheap, it's got good transport links, and Barkaby itself has got some good supermarkets so you can grab your Swedish sweets and chocolates
A nice hotel with a nice spa & great breakfast.nnPerfect when you've a car.nnThere is a little centrum just a stone's throwaway if you need the supermarket or lunch/dinner.
