kensdamms Idrottsplats, commonly referred to as Zinken or Zinkens, is a sports facility located on Ringvägen in Södermalm, central Stockholm. The facility was built in 1936 according to the designs of Paul Hedqvist and was inaugurated on May 18, 1937, with a football match between Reymersholms IK and Djurgårdens IF. Paul Hedqvist was also the architect for several other sports facilities in Stockholm, such as Stadshagens IP 1931, Stora Mossens IP 1933, and Kristinebergs IP 1933.
One of the better pitches within Stockholm City. Great for both American football and real football.
We was there for the street food festival on 28 & 29th of July, it was really fun
Arena for bandy in winter and for athletics in summer in the middle of Stockholm. Space for the public is large but without seats very cold concrete benches in winter and there is no dedicated parking. Changing rooms that we visited during a bandy tournament were not well suited for many players and teams and not well maintained.
Large sports venue on the edgr of town with plenty surroundong ameneties.
