Historie

A-lab’s goal is to influence the urban environment through innovative and sustainable architecture with a strong identity. With award winning office buildings, housing, culture buildings and city plans, A-lab has established itself among Norway’s leading offices of architecture.

The office situated in Oslo Norway was founded in 2000 by Geir Haaversen and Odd Klev, and now has a total of eight partners. The office consists of over 70 architects working to create the housing and workspaces of tomorrow as integrated parts of the big city web.

Major works are the Statoil regional and international offices (2012), the Barcode masterplan (in collaboration with MVRDV, Dark Architects and A-lab, 2003-2017) including three A-lab buildings (2009, 2014, 2016).

Most of A-labs projects are result of won competition. A-lab is also focused on research and development in cross disciplinary teams.
