African Culture Elevation Initiative is an international Non-profit organization based
in Norway.
It is in our interest to facilitate for the availability of Ugandan culture. It is crucial that systems in Uganda are compatible with the existing platforms that are used by the broad world populations. By being a resource as a knowledge institution, we want to provide available technology is of importance, seeking research and development and utilize the tools necessary to fulfill the dream of making Ugandan culture
available for the international societies.
We want the circumstances in the western world to properly reflect African culture in accordance with its presence and interest, where African culture is sufficiently visible in the societies.
There are many African preferences in the societies of western countries, and we want further knowledge and context references to be available for the populations.
There is an increasing interest for certain elements of African culture, especially amongst the younger generations. This is noticeable within music, fashion, dance and art.
We see that there is a substantial amount of people with competence in the cultural sector in African countries. Many of them have been working hard for a long time, and are doing well locally. But they also deserve to be exposed outside of their own region. There is a potential in giving attention to these individuals, which can bring contributions back to their countries.
ACEI seek to have the networks and the substantial knowledge to reach the goals set within this initiative, and together with the African countries we will make the cultural sectors grow and prosper. This is in the interest of the world at large, as everyone will benefit from the rich culture of the African communities. Mostly, it will benefit the African countries, as it is culture that attracts the interests which the governments are most concerned about; tourism, international trade and foreign investors. A country investing and contributing to a cultural sector growing freely under good and positive conditions, are likely to benefit from higher income and taxes from growth in related business sectors, as well as reduced costs of a healthy and positive population with higher standards of morality.
