AID LOCK is non-government and free for use system dedicated to help others. We are a small company from the west cost of Norway and we have the amazing opportunity to save lives like no other. We decided that the long waiting lists for organ transplant and all the lives lost are not something we can live with and here is what we did. We have created two tattoo design that are not just a great conversation piece but clearly show your organ donor status if necessary. That way you will make people talk, your family will know your decision and this count. Since you are willing to help others we decided to thank you and pack your tattoo with some cool functions. In case of accident AID LOCK tattoo can contain all the health and identification information that you want. We will just store it for you in case you need it. That information will be available for health care professionals only and the purpose to save your life.

What Is AID LOCK?

Essentially, our system is a tool for identification and communication between AID LOCK users and healthcare professionals who use AID KEY. It is also a great way to share your positive attitude towards organ donation with the world.

How Does It Work?

After registering with AID LOCK, you will receive a seven-digit code on either a tattoo design, a Lock Screen function on your phone, a bracelet or all three. By simply entering the code on the AID KEY app, (which only authorized healthcare professionals can use), your information will appear in seconds.

Tattoos are an important part of our system for several reasons. Unlike cards and other identification tools, a tattoo won’t get lost, forgotten or easily destroyed.

By getting the tattoo, you will show the world that you care, be a constant reminder for people to donate, and be a walking conversation piece to help spread the organ donation importance message. By coloring the cross on your tattoo, (all other colors than black), you will show the world that you say ”yes!” to organ donation and that you have made the choice to help others.

Becoming an organ donor is an important decision: please share your decision with your next of kin. Your next of kin will always be asked for permission when organ donation is an option.
With this system, there will never be any doubt regarding your organ donor status. Your choice will be clearly displayed on your tattoo, and as an extra safeguard, stored in our system. Too many families say “no” to organ donation in spite of the individual’s wishes.

Tattooing your choice is an excellent way to spread the message to friends and family. Not only will your wishes be clear, but your tattoo will be a constant visual reminder that they should consider becoming organ donors, too.

Our goal is to change attitudes to organ donation, and get rid of long waiting lists, in the process undermining the black market that exists today worldwide. We want to help make the day a little less stressful for healthcare professionals and reward people’s kindness with a little extra care. We hope that individuals and healthcare professionals all around the world will use AID LOCK, and that one day “the lock with the colored cross” will become an international symbol for organ donation.
