The Basic Internet Foundation aims at providing "free access to basic information on the Internet for everyone in the world".
Our common vision is: "Think what would happen if everyone in the world had access to Internet". And we later extended towards "fri access to Internet". Just as much as you need to search for information, to get help in education and to start your own business.
Having connected the University of Lisala to the Internet, one of the first information which the students collected was on "how to make soap". And they made soap.
Now we wish to bring Internet access to everyone, and have established connections in Kinshasa, the capital of Congo. Through publicly available access points and hot-spots at 4 Universities we would like to demonstrate that "Internet access is a human right".
Access to Internet enables education and innovation, and we would like to have everyone joining us to reach the vision of "(free) access to the Internet" all over the world.
