Historie

Victoria Hotel ligger i sentrum av begivenhetene i Stavanger, nede i idylliske Vågen, med fin utsikt til Byfjorden og folkelivet ved havnen. Victoria Hotel er kjent for sine vakre selskapslokaler, de to hyggelige restaurantene Big Horn Steak House og Nero og populære Holmen bar. Victoria Hotel is located in the heart of Stavanger by the harbour, and for over a century it has enjoyed splendid views of the harbour and the fjord. The muliti-purpose public rooms are ideal for meetings, intimate receptions og stylish banquets. There is also two excellent restaurants, Big Horn Steak House and Nero, and the popular Holmen Bar. The Norwegian Petroleum Museum, Old Stavanger, Canning Museum, medieval cathedral, vegetable and fish markets, shopping area, theathre and other entertainment are all within walking distance.

This is a really great hotel. The service is some of the best I've had anywhere with three of the women on reception providing advice and help when needed. They really couldn't do enough to help and would be one of the main reasons I'd return if in Stavanger again. Service at the bar was excellent, as was the cocktail. The hotel itself is really nice and in a great location. One of the things that really surprised me was that there were good vegan options at breakfast, including cheese, oat milk, and yogurt as well as some other normal warm and cold options. A couple of small gripes. Firstly there's no safe in the room, which isn't great for security. Secondly the pillows weren't to my liking one huge one and one tiny one, neither suitable!, but to be fair they got me a second of the small pillows which was OK. Which brings me onto the third issue, there's no phone in the room which means if it is late and something is wrong, you have to go down to reception. All of these things were pretty minor though.
Stayed there for 2 nights while exploring Stavanger. It was well placed on the water and in the area with all the festivities, but not in the middle of it all. The rooms were nice and comfy and I loved the breakfast! Worth including. It had a lot of variety and was veg friendly—the cous cous dish was a nice touch! The service was great and the hosts were very kind. They have bikes to use, but lots of sights are within walking distance.
I almost never write reviews, but Victoria Hotel and staff deserve one! This is everything a hotel should be. It was bright, clean and comfy, a beautiful historic building with spacious public rooms, vintage furniture and lavish touches in the rooms like high quality, weighted cotton robes and slippers, down pillows complete with chocolates, tea and kettle and bar. Simple and elegant. And with a sea view! They have beautiful, vintage-inspired bicycles free to use around the city, reception is eager to recommend places to visit and they are super patient and helpful with all questions. Every staff person I met was kind and diligent. I encourage you to stay here - it is wild to me that much less quality hotels in the area are not much cheaper - choose self-care and a great experience by coming to Victoria hotel right on the water in the center. Travel tip: they will match any offer you find online when you book with them direct, which is always better for the business to support them directly.
We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Victoria! The hotel is gorgeous and very well designed. Rooms are small, but that was to be expected and we had everything we needed to feel comfortable. The views from our room were amazing! Location is fantastic, and in a very walkable area. There is no parking at the hotel, but they recommended a nearby parking garage that worked out perfectly. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more impressive breakfast spread - we stuffed ourselves and everything was delicious. We would definitely stay here again!

Fin hotell, super service. 5 stjerner? Kanskje bør gjøres noe for at hotellet skal oppfylle dagens krav og forventninger for en 5 stjerners hotell. Skeiv gulv i korridorene som knirker. Super fin restaurant og veldig bra frokostbuffet. Utmerket beliggenhet, bra utgangspunkt for alle turer man velger som tourist.
Hotellet ligger sentralt med spisesteder, puber og kiosker rett i nærheten. Rett ved havnen. Topp service fra vennlig personale. Variert frokost. Parkeringsmuligheter i umiddelbar nærhet. Vi kommer til å bo her igjen.Rom: 5/5
This hotel is in traditional style with modern facilities and AC. Spacious rooms and free areas. There is a wonderful ball room upstairs designed in neoclassic style and several conference rooms. Aktiviteter i nærheten: Close to the Stavanger Bay called Vågen and Stavanger Old Town and museums and city Centrum. Fremkommelighet til fots: Close distance to main attractions. Mat og drikke: Very nice restaurant and garden Caffe overlooking the scenery.
Vi hadde bestilt bord til afternoont tea. Er kjempe fornøyd med mat og alle som jobbet der utenom hovmesteren, hun hadde ansvar for bordet vårt, vise seg kun i starten, vi bestilte en flaske musserende men hun påstå at vi hadde bestilt champagne som vi måtte betalte for. Noe som vi ser på som dårlig servic da denne flasken kostet 400kr mer en dem vi bestilte.
