Brand Valley is an independent strategic consultancy, building on 15 years research within design leadership and brand strategy.
Our vision is that organisations and universities worldwide will use our tools and methods to make the change they need to build their brand.
The founder, Dr. Monika Hestad, wrote the first book on connecting products as a brand strategy «Branding and Product Design: An Integrated perspective» in 2013 after a decade of research. The research is towards the strategic level, to understand how product development and brand building could be part of a company’s overall strategy to develop a strong brand.
In her research, Hestad saw the wide gap between marketing and product development and wanted to bring them closer together. A market opportunity to close this gap through helping organisations understand brand design led to a ground breaking strategic consultancy service. Hence, Brand Valley was founded in London in January 2014. A short year after, she established the Oslo department in close collaboration with a global network of leading researchers and practitioners in branding, design and innovation.
Due to our background and history, our approach is based on research as a core activity. The research is the foundation to our three services: consultancy services, education and publications. To solve the challenges of tomorrow it is essential to keep evolving and tailor our methods and tools to new areas. We dedicate a great amount of time to research and to communicate our findings and can therefore deliver solutions that are breaking new grounds.
