The view from the rooms is stunning - if you have booked a panorama room with a view of the fjord. In our opinion, this is also the main argument for this hotel besides the restaurant, which serves excellent food! Apart from that, the hotel seems objectively a little overpriced. The beds are comfortable, but our room was a bit and especially the bathroom extremely small. As relatively slim and young guests, we had problems getting into the shower. This was behind the door, which you had to squeeze into the narrow corner of the toilet to get past. Here, of course, you primarily pay for the view. We found the staff to be incredibly friendly and dedicated! This extends from the reception to the restaurant and the nice young lady at the breakfast buffet - this was the best we had during our trip to Norway in terms of choice and taste! Due to the structure of the building, the hotel is relatively noisy to the rooms above - but this didn't bother us too much. The main road running directly past is practically not used in the evening or at night and therefore hardly makes any noise. We found the surroundings to be as quiet as a mouse in the evening. Tip: Getting up early is particularly worthwhile here! Watching the cruise ships come in also slows you down immensely Rom: Probably depending on the room: A bit small and probably not suitable for people with limited mobility or who are not slim due to the narrow bathroom. Aktiviteter i nærheten: You can drive south to enjoy a view of the landscape from the highest point in the area "Dalsnibba", or you can reach a stunning but very busy viewpoint to the north. If you want to hike, you can walk about 200 meters down the road and from there start numerous hiking trails of different lengths. I recommend the "Path to the waterfall", which can be nerve-wracking at times, but is absolutely worth the experience! Sikkerhet: At no time did we have any concerns or feel unsafe. Fremkommelighet til fots: For the way down into the valley, we recommend taking the car. The hotel is a little out of the way, but that's what makes it so charming! Amazing hotel, superior room with fjord view was fantastic, we enjoyed our stay very much. We also appreciated free parking and pleasant breakfast buffet, even though we missed Nespresso coffee machine there, it was only in the room. We definitely recommend this hotel and we would love to come back!Rom: 5/5
We stayed here for two nights, in a family room with our two kids! Stunning view and such well preserved historical building of a hotel. Breakfast was well balanced with both pancakes and waffles for the kids. In the restaurant we asked for choices for the kids and were offered both bolognese and sausage, as well as half portions of the main menu, very impressive! The bed linen was amazing! Loved Geiranger, but in the “city centre” it was very touristic and crowded, so we really appreciated this hotel’s location. Vey friendly staff and the gentleman in the reception was very well informed on all information we needed! We will definitely come back!! The room is too small but the scenery is beautiful. The bathroom is also very small, hardly has place to move around. Too pricy considering the standard of the room.. Staff was very helpful. Good breakfast. Rom: Room and bathroom are too small for the high price paid. Aktiviteter i nærheten: Nothing we did as the weather was bad. Solid 3-star hotel. Beds are comfortable, food is excellent for both breakfast and dinner. Staff are friendly and attentive. I can definitely recommend this hotel to anyone in the area for either business or leisure.Rom: 5/5

Probably the best view onto the fjord from anywhere. Room with fjord view is a must for me. Very friendly and attentive service at the reception and restaurant. Exquisite und tasty food at the restaurant for dinner scallops & salmon. Rooms are a bit small but comfortable. After all it is an old building with a lot of history. Recommendable!
Beautiful view, topp service and delicious food, the room was a bit old fashioned and the bathroom was small but it all was very clean and functional, a long way from the harbour centre but a night with that very nice view was relaxing. They have employees who deceive people by luring them by evaluating it 5 stars for a sum of money and then they ban them, and this was done by an employee with me called Michelle, who must be reported and reviewed by the competent authorities on charges of deception and falsification of ratings and punishing the hotel for such things
The area was booked and we were able to find rooms at this hotel. The view was the best thing at this hotel. It is probably the best view you will ever get in town. I gave them 3 stars for a few reasons. The first was that they do not have an elevator and we carried our bags 3 flight of stairs. The room had the smallest bathroom I have ever seen and it was impossible to move inside. They also did not have any shampoo or conditioner in the shower. The breakfast looked empty with not too many options. The service was nice and the staff very polite.
