Info Northen Norway's most established period instrument ensemble Etikett Cappella Petri - meaning Peter’s band, was founded with the idea of playing the music and the instruments that were used in the time the great northern norwegian poet Petter Dass lived, which was in the 1600s. Cappella Petri consist of the family trio: Inge (baroque flute), Nina (baroque violin and nøkkelharpe/keyharp) and lately, Sebastian Rolland (cembalo) as the main core of the band, bringing in a variation of other musicians depending on the setting. The groups main focus is on authentic interpretation of the classical baroque repertoire and the norwegian folk songs of which Petter Dass is the lyricist of. With the entrance of the last member, Sebastian, the group can also be heard playing his rearrangements of baroque music in a style which borrows from the modern age of rhythm and harmonies. They also play more experimental music with modern jazzmusicians.
