We are a small Maine Coon cattery located in the southern part of Norway. All of our cats are as family members to consider, and has access to the whole house and a 2500 square meters closed garden. The highest point in the garden is 'Vettehauen', hence the cattery name 'Vettekatten'.
When it comes to breeding; good health and wonderful temperament is our top priority, in addition to a selection according to the breed standard. We prefer the “old-type” look, with a good expression, muscular body with a strong bone structure. The Maine Coon cat is a natural and robust cat in origin – and we think the breed should remain in that condition.
